I'm finally upgrading from an old work-laptop, and I need something that can play the latest games at medium settings. I also will use it for video editing, some 3D work, and 2D design.

I already have all the parts planned out, but because this is my first build, I'm wondering if I missed something, parts wont be compatible, or if there will be a huge bottleneck.

So, here it is!

PSU: --------------------------- http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=60345 *switched brand*

CPU: --------------------------- http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=52067&promoid=1316 *upgraded to black edition*

MOTHERBOARD: -------------- http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=62402

RAM: --------------------------- http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=59431 *switched brand/upgraded to 8GB*

CASE: ------------------------- http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=38039 *switched to way more awesome case*

HARD DRIVE: ----------------- http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=63468 *switched brand*

GRAPHICS: ------------------- http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=56240&promoid=1316

SCREEN: ---------------------- http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=63278&promoid=1316 *added*

DVD: -------------------------- http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=60731&promoid=1316 *added*

*Items with stars have been switched due to suggestions*

Some other info:
-I'm not looking to overclock
-I will usually only use one screen, but sometimes two
-I wand my computer to look good
-I don't care about efficiency or noise very much
-I need great sound quality

So, am I set? Or should I swap some stuff?

The total cost is $850 (Not including shipping/tax)

This is a much better psu, and when you consider the shipping costs, this one is almost the same price.

This hard drive is bigger, faster, and less expensive. You can't go wrong with it.

Ram is really cheap these days. Don't miss the chance to go ahead and put 8gb in there.

Nice choices and I think RickyTick made some good recommendations. This is a good PSU too, with a $20 rebate! http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026

I agree with the Samsung as well. I have the WD Blue 1TB and it is a little noisy. I have heard that these are quieter. Depending on your speaker setup, the onboard sound should be good enough. You can always throw in a soundcard if you are not satisfied.

This is a good choice for RAM too. I have the 1.25V version and they work well and look nice. Good price too! http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231416

Since you are from Canada (me too!), check out NCIX, Canada Computers, and Direct Canada. Direct Canada usually has good prices and you can price match it with local NCIX or Canada Computers stores. You can do instore pickup (if that is an option for you) and save shipping too!

I changed some products based on people suggestions. Does anyone see potential bottlenecks?

The video card, but not in a big way.
