Hi, this will be my very first build! This forum has been a fantastic source of information. I have really enjoyed reading through the forum. For my build I will be using the computer mostly for gaming and general tasks such as internet surfing and downloading music.

I want to make sure all the components are compatible together and as future proof as possible. I picked the SSD for intel smart caching and I chose the GEN3 mobo because it is PCI Express 3.0 ready. I will be using a 23 inch screen for gaming so would the GTX580 offer any advantage over the GTX570? Also will 750w be enough power for this setup?

I would really appreciate everybody's input. Thanks!

Awesome build. I don't see any reason to go with the GTX580 with a 23" monitor. The 570 will be killer.

I think the 64gb SSD will fill up fast. Have you considered maybe a 128gb?

The PSU is more than adequate.

Nice build. I am actually picking up that monitor today as well. I'll let you know how it is :)

Awesome. Can't wait to hear how the screen looks :) As far as the SSD goes the intel smart response tech only requires a minimum of about 20 GB to work. I would love to pick up a 128 GB SSD but Ill probably wait for the prices to come down a little before investing in a large memory SSD.

Hey Trex. I just got it yesterday. It looks really nice! It takes a bit of fiddling around to get the colours right, but once you do it looks really nice. I got it for my Dad's APU build and its nice. It's a pretty good buy when you compare the prices to similar spec'd monitors! Not many monitors in that price range have DVI and HDMI @ that resolution. The speakers are pretty decent too.

I also have my eye on an SSD. I'm thinking the Crucial M4 (128gb) around Christmas time. Hopefully some sales.

Hope that helps!
