So I'm building my first PC from scratch. I've changed out parts on computers before and I've done a tiny bit of research, but I want to make sure that everything I picked function properly with itself before I commit to it. My parts list so far is

Asus M5A99x Evo Motherboard
Intel I3 (2.8 ghz) processor
Crucial 8gb Ram
AMD 6770 graphics card
Sony 24x disc drive
and a Rosewill Case and Power Supply combo (650 watt)

My question is, will these parts function well together? The total cost of the computer would be 670$ which to me sounds amazing, but I want to make sure there are no issues at all with using these parts with each other. Any help?

You can't use an Intel processor with an AMD motherboard. Plus, I don't know of an i3 that runs at 2.8ghz.

The choice of a 6770 graphics card is not going to let you play newer games at high settings. You really need a 6950 or at least a 6870.

Do you already have a Hard Drive? You'll need that as well.
