Not turning back on

Ok i had my computer running great and decided to plug in another fan and it made a shock and now it wont turn on. (yeah it was plugged in when i plugged the new fan in ....) The video card and front pannel lights come on and the cpu fan comes on if i plug it in on the other side of the motherboard but the cpu fan plug on the motherboard does not work. Is it possible to fry half of the motherboard? cuz the side with the cpu seems to not have power anymore does anyone have any ideas???

Yeah, you may have damaged some circuits on the board. It's very possible that you'll need a new motherboard.
