So I have finally decided to on building my first pc. At first I was a little worried about finding the right parts and making sure they are compatible with each other. Here is the list of what I have so far:
Case // Rosewill Challenger // $54.99
(Will this case have the fan power and room to cool my system? or should I go with the Sonata lll or something better?)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ID=862686&SID=
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...M/mysuperpc-20
PSU // Antec Earthwatts 750-Watt Power Supply // $114.88
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...Q/mysuperpc-20
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...=1wmmu641l1yad
CPU // Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz // $219.95
(Do I also need a better cooler? is the one that comes with it enough?)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...4/mysuperpc-20
MOBO // MSI P67A-GD65(B3) LGA 1155 // $159.99
(This is what I found so far... any better recommendations?)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...4/mysuperpc-20
RAM // Some 50$ card Ill spec out later (2x4 gb) // $50
GPU // EVGA GeForce GTX 460 1GB DDR5/GTX Ti 560 // $169.99
(I like the 460 card, I was wondering how high end is it and how long is it going to last me/ also I found the 560 but it costs alot more)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...4/mysuperpc-20
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...D=rg4c7w1l27gv
Sound Cards // I decided to save a lil and not get a sound card // $0.00
(Is this a good idea???)
Hard Drive // Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 7200rpm SATA 300 MB/s // $89.99
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...0/mysuperpc-20
Optical Drives // Sony 24x SATA DVD RW/CDRW // $18.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ID=862686&SID=
Software // Win 7 Home // $99.99
TOTAL = $978.77
Now my biggest concern is the comparability amongst each component. What are the key things I need to be checking for before I buy the parts or if I decide to go with something else. Will I run into some after build issues (in the long run, like not having enough system cooling.... )? This is mainly a gaming rig for sc2, Diablo 3 and Battlefield 3
