Okay so I bought a computer pre-built used on craigslist and it is a POS!!! Now there is nothing really wrong with it other then I paid to much for it and it is out of date with all the equipment. What I'm wondering Is I Play WoW and first things first I wanna be able to play without lagging Being that I know it is not my internet connection causing the problem I was wondering If I could slowly replace all the parts in the computer put a new Top to the line Video card then buy more RAM and eventually but a new mother board and CPU. My worry is when you get a Virus or your computer starts slowing down is that a entire system thing a HDD thing or what happens when your computer starts to seem slower? What is the Cause?
1.) if I bought a new Video card and then decided to drop the rest of the money on the remaining part of the build later could i pull off the video card and put it onto a completly different computer with no problems?
2.) When you get a virus is that just the HDD or can you get Virus's on lets say your Video card or something other then your HDD? Because obviously I don't want a Contaminated piece of equipment to be brought over to a new computer.

Post a description of the computer you bought with as many details as possible. Make, model, etc.
WOW is not terribly demanding on a computer system. It doesn't take a high-end gaming rig to be able to play it at high settings. Depending on the specs of your pc, you may be able to upgrade just a couple of things and be just fine.
A virus will infect your hard drive, but can usually be removed without too much trouble. It doesn't migrate to other hardware components like video cards and such.

Looks like the only thing you're missing is a decent video card. A GTX460 1gb would be great, or a GTX550 Ti.

Very nice video card.
You shouldn't have to purchase a new Windows license if you're just replacing your hard drive.
This might be helpful.
