I wana build a good computer, for gaming as well for work .

My budget is around 2k...

pls help me cuz my com has broken down yesterday and i really need a new and good computer asap.

i know some of those really good components, but i don know how to bring them together because people told me that there is this compatibility problem among gadgets.

So, please help me :(

It's hard to suggest a case since everyone has such different tastes. They range anywhere from $50 to $250.
Here's a few suggestions that I like.

$90 after rebate and has free shipping (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129097). This is a great deal.
$80 with free shipping (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119196). A great deal without having to mess around with a mail in rebate.
$80 after rebate plus $8 shipping (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119216). I've always liked this case a lot.

For a high-end gaming rig, this is one of the best power supplies available.

You can go a couple of different routes on video cards. Obviously there's the Nvidia versus AMD route, but you should also consider 2 cards in SLI or Crossfire.

For a single high-end video card, this is what I'd suggest.
Nvidia $370 plus $8 shipping (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127582). That's a lot for a video card, but it fits within your budget.
AMD $340 after rebate, plus $8.50 shipping (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102918). Still kinda pricey, but better.

For dual video cards, take a look at these.
Nvidia SLI $220 after rebate (each) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130610). OK, that's $440, but that's a killer setup.
AMD Crossfire $240 after rebate (each) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150527). Just as powerful as the Nvidia setup.

For a hard drive, you could stay with a conventional mechanical hard drive.
HDD $60 with free shipping (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185). Hard to beat that price.

You could also jump into SSD territory.
SSD $237 after rebate and free shipping (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167042). Very nice price after the rebate. If you go with this, still get the 1TB mechanical drive for extra storage. You'll need it.

I'm usually happy with onboard sound from the mobo, but you can add an inexpensive sound card too.

Additional add-on.
Blu-ray $80 plus $7 shipping (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136226). Not bad for adding blu-ray to your system.

That's about it. I didn't include monitor, keyboard, or mouse. If you need help with those, let me know.
You also need an operating system. Windows 7 Professional 64-bit runs about $140.

That's a good question. There are situations where one might be preferable to the other. AMD is known for using less power, and can produce high performance at a reasonable price. Nvidia seems to make better use of tesselation, plus it has the benefit of using Physx.

Sometimes it's just what you've been used to. I personally like Nvidia cards from EVGA and MSI, but its only because that's what I've used in the past and I like them.
