This is the first desktop Ive ever built and I have done some research and I think the components I have chosen will work for what I need them to do. I want to run games like SC2 on higher settings as well as run software such as Matlab. I also want this computer to last for a while so that I will not need to update it in the next 6 months to a year and still be able to handle most games and software without any problems. If you see something that would fit better than anything I picked out or that is cheaper because I am trying to stay within a budget of 700-850 please mention it. I appreciate the input in advance guys.

Check out this hard drive. It's twice as big and only $5 more.

Man, I'd love to see you get a better video card. Any way to step up to a 6850? This one is $140 with free shipping. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102908
