I'm about to embark on my first ever attempt at building my own PC, I've been looking into different combinations of parts for a while to make sure they are all compatible, but I was hoping someone with a more experienced eye could have a look and make sure I haven't overlooked anything. I'm re-using things like keyboard, monitor, mouse and speakers so disregard them. I'm also trying to keep options open for upgrading later i.e RAM Processor and GFX card.

From what I've gathered, this should come in just under $2000

Hi Jamie and welcome to the forums.

Your RAM choice does not show up on the memory list for the mobo when using the USA list from Asus. How about providing the Corsair Part # . Also, just confirm that you are ordering the parts thru a vendor in Australia.

EDIT about 5 minutes later. MY MISTAKE. I did find that memory on the memory list for the Asus Crosshair V Formula Socket AM3+ but not having a part # does leave some guess work in the process. So, how about posting part #s for any item where no part # is presently shown.
