So I built the computer from http://forums.mysuperpc.com/showthread.php?4313-Compatibility-and-Quality-of-Parts-for-my-Ultra-Cheap-Build and I've ran into a problem. There is nothing on the display, and not even any beeping to tell me there is a definite issue. Not even any beeps if I take out the RAM. The motherboard should be working fine since the CPU fan and case fan are spinning. Note that I have not installed the hard drives/optical drives yet (the case is super confusing on how to mount, plus I realized I don't have any SATA power cables...) Any help would be appreciated.

Typically the motherboard will come with SATA cables that go to the hard drive and optical drive.

Follow the instructions with the motherboard and make sure all connections are made properly, and go ahead and install the hard drive and optical drive.

Sorry if I I wasn't clear but the problem with the SATA cables is that the included PSU doesn't provide power for SATA drives (only IDE/PATA, stupidly)
Also, what about the problem that the motherboard can't tell that the RAM is missing...? Could this mean that part but not all of the mobo is damaged? What about the CPU? That could be damaged...or would the motherboard automatically turn off with no CPU detected...?

Also, unless anyone thinks I might have screwed something up really bad, I'm probably going to get this PSU: http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=PS480E12&cat=PWR
