Can I still find PC 3500 DDR SDRAM?

I have an older desktop computer (specs below). I am constantly getting blue screens with nvatabus.sys error. I've tried multiple things but have not found a solution yet. I don't think it is overheating as temps are fine. It happens randomly. Sometimes just sitting idle, sometimes doing windows update or burning a dvd, etc.

Anyway, I thought maybe my memory was going bad. I currently have 4 gig (4 x 1gig)CORSAIR XMS 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 433 (PC 3500) Dual Channel Desktop Memory. I tried searching a little, but other than ebay, I haven't found this memory for sale. Is it still possible to buy new replacment memory modules that are compatible with this computer?

Before you spend money on new ram, try running with just 2 sticks of ram. If you get a blue screen, try the other 2 sticks. Keep trying different combinations of ram to eliminate a possible single bad stick.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I could test the memory first. Just not sure I have the time or patience to keep trying different configurations and waiting to see if a blue screen happens. But maybe I will. Also, the link to the memory you gave says PC3200 but my ram is PC3500. So is the ram you posted slower than the ram I have? This is the full spec on my memory:

CORSAIR XMS 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 433 (PC 3500) Dual Channel Desktop Memory
Memory Speed: 433MHz PC3500
CMX-1024-3500LLPRO / XMS3502v1.2 / 438 MHz (this was printed on the memory stick)


Regarding the link you gave, I downloaded the nvatabus.sys file. It's not an install file, just a system file so I guess I would just replace my nvatabus file with that one? Thing is I checked the properties and the version from the website seems older than my version. Properties for website file is version 5.10.2600.0446. Properties of my file in the windoes/system32/drivers folder is version 5.10.2600.0666. So not sure I should replace this with an older version?
