So, I've always had my laptop but I'm just ready to move to a desktop. I'm trying to make the best I can with as little as possible. This is my first ever build/attempt at doing so, and I would really like some guidance.

Nice choice in cpu. This is the "K" version which has the unlocked multiplier for overclocking. If you don't plan to overclock, then just go with the regular 2500, and save the money.
Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131714
An expensive motherboard. There are many out there that are just as good for a lot less.
Ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231468&cm_re=ddr3_2133_8gb-_-20-231-468-_-Product
A better ram kit would be this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231440
Hard Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136810
The green drives are typically used for storage or backups, not the primary drive. This would be a better 1.5TB option.

or this 1TB option. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284
Video/Graphic Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121415R
Take a look at this card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130625
Power Supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817702018
You just can't go cheap when it comes to power supplies. Consider something like this.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811103024
Cases are cases. It's hard to get excited about them. If you like that one, then go for it.
CPU Cooler/Heatsink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103086
The Intel cpu will come with it's own heatsink/fan. The only reason to get an aftermarket cooler/heatsink is if you plan on overclocking, and this particular model is not going to be adequate for that. If you think you need a cooler, this is a much better option.

DVD/CD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204
Keyboard/Mouse: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823126097
Speakers: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121013
These are all good choices.
VGA: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812186092&cm_re=vga_cable-_-12-186-092-_-Product
Not sure what this is for.

The VGA cable will basically be to plug into the back of the PC, and run into the back of my TV, to use the TV as my monitor. Mostly to cut back on buying a monitor, and I rarely use my TV other then for for a couple hours of Xbox/a late night movie. Thank you so much for the reply. So that knocks out the Heatsink/Cooler.. Money in my pocket. I chose the processor/motherboard for the ability to be able to overclock, IF i decided to in the long run. Thank you so much for your help :D

You're welcome.
Isn't that VGA cable used for splitting to two different monitors?
If the TV has an HDMI input, then the video card that I linked to (and the one you linked to) has an HDMI connector that would make is much easier.
