First time PC building - no signal to monitor

I am not getting a signal to my monitor. Power Supply is working properly and is powering everything that is needed; 8-pin CPU power, 24-pin Mobo, 6-pin graphics card, SATA HDD... No beeps starting up the computer. All fans are running, even the is HDD spinning.

In my limited experience I would assume the RAM is the problem. I am currently out of town on business and when I get back it will be the first thing I will try. Going to check if they are seated correctly. I believe my MB is a 3slot ram input but I need to research that too. Check the picture out below. I have the ram in the blue slots, are there primary ram slots? 121212 (with 1 being blue and 2 being black - refer to mobo picture)

If there is anything else y'all would suggest in troubleshooting let me know. This has been a great learning experience but i started to get frustrated twelve hours into it, haha.

Might be overkill on information but just giving you everything I know.

Have you tried that monitor on a different system?
Have you tried a different monitor on your system?

My initial thought is that it's not the ram.

Yeah, it is the same monitor i have been using for years... it powers on but it just has no display

I am having an identical problem

My components are the ones found on the following site: Ars Technica System Guide (http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/guides/2011/03/ars-system-guide-march-2011-edition.ars/3) with the exception of the RAM which is here (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145315&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-Memory+(Desktop+Memory)-_-Corsair-_-20145315).

The only other odd thing is that when I turn the computer on, it powers up for a few seconds, then powers down, then comes back up and then stays up. It does it every time, and seemingly for the same amount of time each time.

Also, I'm not sure if it makes any beeps as so far I have not hooked up any speakers.

Cdenney, sounds to me like you need a larger power supply... other than that i have no idea... i will check my monitor when i get back into town tomorrow afternoon and update this forum.

Now that I recall, I have used two monitors to check... i am sure the monitor is not the problem. Any other suggestions?

Thanks, I reset the MB and plug everything back in... same result, but like I thought the problem WAS the RAM. The primary ram spots were the black ones, not the blue(refer to picture), I had them in the blue slots. After reading the manual very carefully it told me exactly which slot to put the first stick of RAM in, it is quite odd to have the first stick not start on either end, but rather the second from the top. Thanks again for y'alls help in troubling shooting with me! Was a great experience... finally have windows 7 installed and all my drivers and it is working like a champ, except it is only registering 4 of my 6 gigs of RAM... it never ends does it? haha Thanks again.
