My first build is up and running Windows! Yeah!!!! Now onto the problem:
I don't need a modem inside the case to connect to a DSL modem through a wireless router (via Ethernet cable plugged into the router) do I?
I didn't get a modem for my first build because I didn't think I needed one for my wired DSL connection. Yet when I plug the Ethernet cable in that was taken out of my old computer I get no detection. I tried unplugging and replugging the DSL modem. Still nothing. Tried to set up a new network connection (which usually doesn't have to be set up for my always on connection. It usually just auto detects (which this computer is also set for in Network connections).
Also when I type in the IP address of my wireless router I still get nothing?
What am I missing?
