Build complete 12th May 2011 (approx. 15 hours work over 1 week)
Windows 7 Pro 64bit
Coolermaster HAFX plus Coolermaster GX750W psu bundle
MSI P67A-GD65 (B3)
Intel Core i7-2600k 3.4GHz
PNY nVidia GT430
Crucial DDR3-1333 2x4GB
2x Western Digital WD1002FAEX 1TB
Samsung SH-S223 DVDRW
The hardest part was actually making the decision to do the build. This website gave me the impetus to go for it.
The second hardest part was opening up the case for the first time and looking at the cable spaghetti. In fact it was all pretty logical once I got going.
I hit a few minor problems along the way but in each case it was my assumptions that were at fault. A quick internet search got everything back on track.
I feel great for completing the build. I have learnt a lot more about how a computer works. The bonus is the fact that I now have a super pc!
