Is there any reason to use a IDE dvd burner other than saving a couple bucks? Seems like SATA is the way to go if you can.

They both have the same data throughput, but SATA seems to pick up DVDs etc slightly quicker.

I think the only reason to buy an IDE drive would be if you have loads of SATA drives already, or if you were planning to create a large RAID array.
