I've been wanting to build a computer for a while.. So I finally got around to looking into it and this is what I came up with. I'm a gamer but I'm also looking to get into Photoshop, After Effects and some other higher end programs.

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811517004
HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136592 Updated
CD/DVD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204
Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130574
RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231445 Updated
CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115070
CPU Cooler: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103055
GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121429
PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171057
Monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236052

I researched somewhat.. But I'm not positive all this stuff is compatible and that's why I'm here. Would you suggest I get a smaller sized video card so I have to option of adding another card to have a dual setup when it starts to get dated? Or should I just not worry about that and buy a new card all together when it gets to that point?

Would you consider this a high-end or mid tier pc? Any feedback/suggestions would be appreciated.

Not a big fan of Hitachi hard drives. Have you looked at Samsung or Western Digital?

This ram is designed specifically for P67 motherboards.

The GTX580 is a beast of a video card, but if you're going with a monitor less than 24 inches, then a GTX560 Ti would work great and save some cash.

Thanks for the reply,
I updated the build with a Western Digital HDD and the P67 RAM. I'll probably buy a better monitor sometime in the near future.

If I get something like this GTX 560 TI (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127565&cm_re=gtx_560_ti-_-14-127-565-_-Product) GPU and then decide to buy a second GPU later for a SLI set-up, do the two GPU's have to match? (I.E can I buy a GTX 560 and then SLI it with a GTX 580 when they go down in price) Or maybe 2 GTX 560s are good enough to max any game for a while? I want to be able to run games very well without needing to upgrade soon.

Possibly a really dumb question, but does my Motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130574) even support SLI?

One other concern I have is.. Will the V8 GPU Cooler (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103055) fit in my case (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811517004) fine?

The motherboard supports both SLI and Crossfire. If you're concerned about the 560Ti than consider the GTX570. It's more than capable of running anything you throw at it, plus adding another later in SLI would be more of a beast than that GTX580. Also don't forget about the ATI Radeon HD 6950 or 6970. You can't go wrong either way.

That's a full tower case, so I don't see any reason why that cooler won't fit easily.
