Hi everyone, I have read up on building computers and thought I knew what I was doing but it seems I'm not quite there yet. I already have most of the parts and I got the case to power up but I can't get beyond this point. Here are the specs:

Case:

Motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131514

CPU:
I'm not sure since I bought quite a while ago on ebay. I'm pretty sure it's a Pentium 4/Celeron, most likely 2.4ghz

CPU Cooler:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835119077

GPU:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161153

Memory:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820141166

Sound Card:

Hard Drive:

So the first problem arose because the power supply that came with the case was not compatible with the mobo. So I set it aside for awhile a recently got back into it. I bought this power supply: http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=AK420M, only to find that it is too small for the psu opening in the case. I proceeded to hook it up anyway and I got the computer to power up and beep but it doesn't do much else.

I am unsure what to do next. I am contemplating buying a new case but I can't seem to find a way to make sure that the new psu will fit properly. I also thought about just buying a new mobo but everything I bought works with the one I have so that's out. Should I buy another psu perhaps?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I don't understand your build at all. Are you going for a "retro" build. Nearly everything here is obsolete.

Really?...I'm not really surprised though, I bought all this stuff years ago and only the case and other components in the last two or three years. You think it's too old? I really just want to finish it at this point, any advice?

I guess technically it may all fit together, but I"m not sure how efficient or productive it would be. It probably won't run Windows Vista or Win 7.
