View Full Version : Sterling Engine cooling

For those Steampunk enthusiasts out there, I ask what you think of a Sterling Engine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stirling_engines) powered fan system (or even liquid system). The hotter the temperature gets, the faster the engine would move, and hence the cooler it would make things, and since it is a closed system, there would be no air flow noise in a liquid format, and no more than usual if it was hooked up to a fan. The "hot air reservoir" could even be in direct contact with the processor if designed properly.

What do you think?

Just to clarify, Sterling engines are also what is used in cryogenic cooling units...
