Recommendations for budget build

Hello all.

I did my first personal pc build from this site about 4 months ago and have loved the computer so far. Really appreciate all that this site has to offer.

For that reason, I am now posting to mooch off the skills of this forum again. My father noticed my cpu this christmas and really wants a new computer himself. The catch is he is not very techno savvy and really just wants something that will run quickly without a lot of bells a whistles.

So, any recommendations for a "budget build" that is efficient but without lots of extras for under $600 (already have monitor, printer, speakers, mouse, keyboard).
