AMD Phenom II "Black Box" Processors, What's The Deal

This newest processor AMD is offering comes in a "black box" version, and one that is just a "regular" version, yet going to their website offers no explanation as to the differences between the two. Has anyone heard what differentiates these CPUs???

It was my understanding that the "Black" cpu's have an unlocked multiplier. I could be wrong. Try a google search and see what pops up.

You're right, and also the Black Edition doesn't come with a cooler either. Seems to be mainly for the overclocking crowd.
