Will it support my existing video card ,

Because I'm getting no image when I boot and board is giving me post of 2b or 26?

2b and 26 are different post codes. 26 is something called "Clock Gen", and 2b is "Initialize video". That board will support the 8800GT. Did you connect the 6-pin power connector to the back of the card?

Yeah I did make sure the power to the video card is connected, I think it is the 2b post since I get zero image,

I'm so frustrated I don't know what to do anymore

Is this for that Gateway computer you have from another thread? If so, are you sure this motherboard is compatible with your pc?

It's the same video card,

It's a new board and processor ,

Intel core 2 quad q9300 which is also the same chip I do have on the gateway,

According to the board , both chips shoul work

You know that changing the motherboard usually requires a new license for Windows?

so after tying many things , nothing has worked.

i left the pc on on POST code 2b, with no image.

After like 2 hour something started showing up on the pc like it wanted to get into the bios mode. but it was loading so so slow i mean like one letter every 5-10 sec. also on the bottom of the screen it had horizontal lines covering the bottom of the screen.

it did give me an option to enter bios mode or boot menu but since i didnt have a keyboard plugged in, i had to reboot and again im back to POST code 2b.

i dont know what else i can try.

Start with the basics.
There is a 24 pin connector on the side of the board. Unplug it, and verify that it's plugged in properly.
There is an 8 pin connector next to the cpu socket. Unplug that, and plug it back in.
Make sure the video card is seated properly in the pci slot, and the power connector in plugged into the back of the video card.
Reinstall the sticks of ram in the dimm slots. Make sure it seats in properly and clicks into place, and are in the blue slots, not the black.

Ok so I think I finally got it to boot,

A couple more questions maybe u can help with,

First what shoal my bios setting be for my CPU and memory? I have no idea what they should be,

Also curretly I have 4x1gb 6400 DDR2 memory and I have 2x2gb 5300 DDR2 memory,

Can I use there together to many have a total of 6th of what would be the best combination of these .

Also what would be te benefits of overclockijg my system? Is it worth it?

I really appreciate all your help

You only have 4 dimm slots, so you won't be able to use all 6 sticks. I would probably use the 4 sticks of DDR2 6400. What brand is it?
Also, if you don't have a 64-bit version of Windows, then it will only "see" about 3.5 gb of ram anyway.

Over-clocking is over-rated. :)
