Help, this is my first time.
My setup is listed here http://forums.mysuperpc.com/showthread.php?3769-Budget-Setup&p=17427#post17427

I have the following connected to the motherboard
1 SATA hard drive
2 sticks of ram in the correct slots
THe Main Power cable
the 12V power cable
The cooling fan for the processor
1 PS2 Keyboard
1 screen via DVI on the motherboard.

When I flick the switch on the power supply the lights on the keyboard flash for a second which shows me it is getting power, but other than that nothing happens.
The cooling fan on the Processor does not turn on.
Nor do any of the fans which are connected to power.
No LEDs on the motherboard flash,
The other fans do not currently connect to the motherboard.

What's going on?
Shouldn't the BIOS come up on the screen?

I am such a noob. Plugging in the power switch is definitely required.

Ok so I got everything running, windows working.
The only problem is that the computer crashes frequently.
The screen just goes black and the computer restarts.
Almost as if I hit the restart button on the motherboard, but I ofcourse did not.

Is this a hardware or software problem?
How Can I debug this?

There is no blue screen of death, does that mean it is a hardware issue?

Try running on one stick of RAM only. Be sure you are in the right slot. Use both sticks just one at a time for a long enough period to be sure things are working.

Have you tried removing the battery from the motherboard for 30 minutes to reset the BIOS?

Make sure the RAM is seated correctly in the motherboard and as Zburns pointed out try one stick of RAM only.

What version of Windows are you running?

Did you do a full format of the hard drive before installing Windows? Or did you do a full diagnostic on the hard drive with the manufacturers boot CD?
