First off, I'd like to thank Rob and crew for having such an awesome board for us poor 'noobs' to come to. While I'm not a complete neophyte, the last time I went to a board to hear build opinions from my peers, it ended up being a disappointing and ultimately noneducational experience. However, from my lurking time here, I've seen nothing but support and patience, and that's a very good thing!

Now down to the questions. My old computer abruptly died a few nights ago, and I've been hunting down components for a good gaming rig. I was pleased to see that most the components I selected appear to be in wide gaming use today, but I'm still new to the scene, and worry about plugging in and having the whole thing blow up.

So if anyone has any recommendations or comments(Hey, that's not compatible!) on this rig, please feel free to let me know. My budget is around $2k, but I'm not so keen on trying to toe that line just because I can!

I'm also waiting for the 22nd, for when Intel drops it's prices, if there's a better processor out there that will be worth picking up that will be at the E6600's current price, I'd be happy to consider it.

Thanks in advance!

Very nice rig mate.

No processor out at the moment on AMD is going to be better than an E6600 for gaming. Even the FX series can't contend and they are made for gaming.

Everthing looks ship shape and is all compatible :D

I recommend you get the e6750 - its cheaper than the e6600, and is much faster too. Make sure the mobo you get supports the 1333 FSB though.

Loving the case - I'm a Thermaltake man myself. :)
