Hello, i've decided to build my own gaming pc. Any thoughts of anything I should add, remove or get better? My budget is around 800 to 900. And is it all compilable?

Couple of things:

1. I'd recommend Intel at the moment - price cuts are putting them further ahead of AMD. Soon you will be able to get an E6750 (v.high dual core) for about the same price as that AMD 5200+ and about 3 times as fast.
2. No internal HD?
3. You might want to opt for some slightly higher quality RAM - I recommend PC2-8500 rather than 5300. Check out some of the deals that Rob has mentioned for links.

Everything else looks pretty good though. :)

Case = very good

Motherboard = bad. Change that for an Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard as its one of the best gaming boards out there, period. Only thing is that it only supports upto pc-6400 ram.

GPU = good but if you can get the gainward bliss golden sample version that would be even better.

Power supply= too expensive. Get a hiper type R modular power supply (much better).

Processor = V.good:D

Ram is very very good. Got some of that myself but it won't work with that motherboard.

HD is good

Optical drive is good

:D

That motherboard is awesome mate. Good choice. Everything looks good. Don't order anything yet because the intel price cuts are happening on the 22nd of july.

That will be a super powerful pc :D

Went over budget a bit, but it's worth it! You might try buying cheap RAM and update later.

Thanks for all the feedback. Just one more question, would the motherboard be compatible with the memory? Ive been wondering, I looked up what the motherboard supported it didn't show the memory I have. Would I be able to use that memory or do I have to change.

Get this ram mate. Best for gaming and its a lot cheaper than the dominator memory.

This ram is extreme so if in the future you want to get into overclocking ect, then this is the ram to go for. I have this in my current gaming rig and it flies like nothing else :eek: :D

Hope this helps

I just googled your mobo to make sure. Yes that ram will be fine in the motherboard you have chosen. Although having looked at reviews that mobo seems very overpiced for what you are actually getting.

Asus P5N-E SLI all the way baby wooooooooooo :D
