View Full Version : New PC Build Troubleshoot, Power Supply Won't Fire Up!

I am having trouble getting my newly built PC to power up. Below is my configuration of case, power supply, and mobo. I have tested the power supply on another PC so I know that works. The problem has to be somewhere between the power switch, the wires to the mobo, or the pins/mobo itself. Anyone have some ideas on how I can troubleshoot this before I call in to MSI?

OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W Modular Power Supply
Aerocool VS-9 Mid-Tower Case
MSI 785GM-E51 AMD 785G Socket AM3 Motherboard

The only other components on the board are:

Corsair XMS3 4GB PC10666 DDR3 1333MHz 4096MB
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition AM3 CPU

But I'm not sure that can be the issue, it seems like the power supply just can't get the signal to fire up.

Thanks

Anthony
