This is my first experience building a PC
System:
Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD4P
Intel Core i7-860 (quad-core)
Crucial 8192MB (8GB) PC3-12800 DDR3
eVGA Geforce GTX 260 Core 216 896MB DDR3 PCI-E
Western Digital 1000GB 7200rpm SATA
At my first boot, a long constant beeping sound occurred. My first thought went to the installation of the ram. When I ordered the Crucial DDR3, only one stick arrived.
Should I have received two?
I saw in the installation instructions they he used a DDR2 and 3. Do I need to order another so I do not have this beeping noise anymore?
(written later)
After re-reading my Motherboard's manual, I found that a long continuous beep is the graphics card. So I guess I will need to check both tomorrow morning.
All help is appreciated.
