How awesome! Congratulations! Couldn't get the link to work, though. The motherboard looks killer.

Yeah, Techreport was down for a little while this morning. It's up now.
Yeah, I see it now! That's just fantastic.

OK, I'm almost ready to build. Tell me what you think about this.
Current system
Antec 900 case
Corsair HX620 psu
Abit IP35 Pro mobo
Q6600 cpu w/Vendetta II HSF
4gb (2x2gb) G.Skill ram
GTX275 gpu
WD Caviar SE16 500gb with Vista 64-bit
WD Caviar Black 640gb with Win7 64-bit
DVD optical drive
Of course I have this new X58 motherboard, and I've already purchased an i7-950. I still need to purchase ram and a cpu cooler, and then re-use my case, psu, gpu, WD Black 640, and DVD optical drive.
My Mom needs a new pc, so what I want to do is purchase a new case w/psu and install my old Abit mobo, Q6600, GSkill ram, Caviar SE16 HD, and use an old 7600GT I have around here somewhere. Only thing else I'll need is a new optical drive. Since Vista is tied to the Abit mobo, shouldn't it boot right up with no problems?

New components:
MSI Big Bang-XPower LGA 1366 Intel X58

CORSAIR Hydro H50 liquid cooler
G.Skill DDR3 1600 PI Series 6GB (3 x 2GB)

Ooh, very nice. No SSD?

Thought about it long and hard, but just don't want to dump any more money into it. Dollars per gigabyte are still kind of high, and my Black 640gb is quite fast. I'm thinking another new build in a couple of years will have an SSD.

That's fair enough. I'm sorely tempted by an OCZ Vertex 2 for my laptop as they are only £90 ($140) now.
