I'm building my own computer and I'm confused a bit about which kind of RAM to get that will be compatible with my mobo.
Currently the mobo I have in mind is the GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128423
It says in the specs that the memory standard is DDR3 2200/1333/1066/800
So my question is, will the mobo only support those memories? Or can it support 1600 also?
I'm looking at CORSAIR XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145222
Would this work?
Or would this be better? CORSAIR XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145220
The only difference is that one is DDR3 1333 and the other is DDR3 1600. That and price. So what exactly is the difference between the two and which one would be better?
Thanks
