New Computer Build: Checking for Issues

I am trying to build a new system. I would be very appreciated if you can help me with the compatibility check on this system.

WOW, that's one killer gaming system you got there.

I'm curious why you're using a 5400 rpm hard drive. Most people use the Green series drives for backups or external drives. You seem to have high performance everywhere else, why not the hard drive too?

I did not know it was a 5400 rpm drive. I saw the price and the size and I didn't really complain. Also it was SATA 3.0 gb/s with cache size of 64mb so I figure it's not that bad. I heard there are 10000rpm drives now or the SSD which is very pricey and imcompatible with some of the softwares.

Any recommendation for the hard drive?

I want to build the computer that would last me for at least 5 years. My old computer that I built couple of years ago is slowly dying on me...

The Western Digital Caviar Black series is the high performance line, plus they come with a better warranty. You can usually get the 1TB for less than $100.

No doubt the SSD's are the fastest and quietest, but they are still fairly expensive, and don't come in extremely large capacities. Read through this and weigh the pros and cons, then make a decision.
