Sent my P5KC in for warranty repair after it gave me 2 + years of problems, only to be told by Asus that it has bent connector pins and is ineligible for warranty. The pins were just fine before i sent the thing in! They want $120 to fix, to which I declined (more politely than I wanted to).

I have a Dual Core E8400, Geforce 8800gt, 8 GB DDR2 800 RAM (4 2-gb slots), an eSata hard disk AND an old ATA hard disk. Antec 900 case. Running Win7 64-bit.

What's the best replacement mobo that's compatible with all my existing hardware?

I was thinking about this one from Gigabyte:

Hey Bob. Sorry to hear about your problems. That P43 board should work fine as long as you don't plan to run 2 ATI cards in CrossfireX at any time. That's the only limitation of the P43 chipset compared to a P45.

Nope, just the one nVidia card. Will my ddr2 800 RAM work in the slots?

Ram should work fine.
