Intel Vs AMD (Dual core)

After defending AMD all year and refusing to even think of the possibility of building a core 2 duo system, i have finally succumbed to the lure of a better cpu for my gaming, and i must say, as much as i love AMD, Intel walk all over them, and i mean walk all over them.

Its sad that by the time AMD start releasing some contenders Intel will already be bringing out their newest range of cores (hence massive price drop on 22nd July)

I was just wondering what people on this forum have in their rigs, and which they prefer out of the two :D

I can't speak for the technical specs of either, but when looking at Intel's ad budget, it's hard to see how they will ever be able to match AMD's prices...just a novice's opinion. I've always taken the favor of the little guy--although you might not consider AMD the little guy--and disfavor of "the man", so I'm biased.
