First off, I owe a great deal to this site. Thank you.
Now, I am looking to put my old HDD in a new build (MB, CPU, etc) because I am trying to save a buck.
I have a new OS to install (win 7) to go along with the build. My question is, and forgive my ignorance - I am a novice, my old HDD has XP on it. Will this cause problems when I put it into the new system and try to install the new OS? Would I be better off eraqsing the HDD before I try to put it in? If so, how do I do that?
I am hoping that all I will have to do is install the new software in the new build and it will re-partition the HDD without having to erase anything, but do not know. Any help would be great.
Thanks.
