Put some stuff together and wanted any feedback regarding compatability. Mostly interested in the mobo. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Core2 Duo e6700 $360
Nvidia Geforce 8800 Ultra $800

Gigabyte GA-N680SLI - DQ6 $350.

2GB Kingston DDR2 1066mhz $260.
Atec 900 case $120.
Seagate Barracuda 320gb 7200rpm hd $105.
Thermaltake toughpower 1000w psu $320.

Gonna pick up a sound card and other misc. peripherals, but this is the jist of it. Thanks again for any feedback.

Wish I had that much money to burn... :)

Looks like a sweet rig you've got there, but I'd recommend waiting until the 22nd July, when Intel are going to be slashing their prices - you can get a Q6600 (the quad core) for $266!

How do you know when price drops are going to happen?

And how can I monitor the six month period or see how long a component has been out for?

Thanks for the reply. I might just take your suggestion. Sounds like a wise one. I want to drop $2.5-~3.2 on this pc for some serious gaming. It might be a much for some of the current games I'm on, but I need it to be ready to handle next-gen games and their respective engines.

I'll eventually get a second 8800 ultra to sli.

Thanks again.

I know this is true, because I have heard from inside sources... >.<

Oh, and no worries - I'm gonna upgrade my PC once this stuff comes out as well. :)
