Hello,

I just upgraded a system from an Athlon 2800 with an older ASUS board to a new Athlon 4800 on an Asus Board. The old system would not recognize the full size of the 160 GB hard Drive, so it was partitioned. There does not appear to be any overlay on the drive.
When I place it in the new machine, it starts to boot, then there is a blue screen that flashes for a nano seconf before it reboots.
If I place the drive in a different machine as the slave, I can see all the data and can access the drive.
I have tried using Max Blaster to copy the drive to a spare, and even try windows setup after I copy it, but when I run setup, it sees the partition as not being there and wants to format the drive. The current file system is NTFS.
Any ideas?

Using an old drive with new hardware is not a sure thing.

What about flashing your bios since you changed up mobo and cpu might help the HD drive?
