Trying to build a low end gaming rig. I'm not a hardcore gamer but my kids are getting into things like battlefield, starwars online, etc...
So time to fix em up since my old rig is giving them some crappy framerates.
I'm trying to keep things under 750 dollars (operating system, keyboard, mouse, monitor, and peripherals not included in that number)
I'm considering starting off my build with a DYI kit from newegg. It has the following in it:
Rosewill Xtreme Series RX850-D-B 850W Continuous @40°C ,80 PLUS Certified, ATX12V v2.2 & EPS12V v2.91, SLI Ready CrossFire ...
AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition Deneb 3.0GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Processor Model HDZ940XCJ4DGI
Xigmatek MIDGARD-W Black 0.7mm SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
XIGMATEK AIO-S80DP All-in-one liquid cooling system - Retail
I'm building from scratch here - so I was thinking going with am2+ processor and motherboard would let me save a little money on them and memory.
Unless I've picked out total junk - I still need a motherboard, memory, harddrive, and videocard.
(videocard will be determined by how much we have left I suppose).
Love some advice and parts suggestions.
