I have always wanted to build a PC in the past and now I am finally trying to figure out if I still have the time and patience to do so. I am looking at computers right now for my needs of photo editing, minor video editing, web design, a home for my huge collection of cds (looking for at least a terabyte drive), and then general computing (internet, word processing, email, etc.) I would like to spend less than $900 and would like to have a minimum of a 20" LCD and I do not have a mouse or keyboard (currently I have been using a laptop). I did find this deal at Best Buy and it seems like it would be hard to build a comparable PC for the specs and the convenience. Please give me feedback and ideas on possible configurations.

Take a look at the Budget Build here. You could add a larger hard drive and be in good shape.
