First try at this and now wondering why I didn't go for a barebones kit. I will list what I've gotten myself into so far and would appreciate any help in direction from here on out. I would like to know if what I've done will even work and what OS I would be better off with. Casual gamer, video and photo editing as well as work (MS Office). Any help would be appreciated and sorry I didn't come here first.

Everything will work together just fine. The processor and mobo have the same socket, and your tower will fit an ATX mobo. The only thing I see that may not suit is the GeForce. I had originally bought a 9800gt for my mid-size case, and it didn't fit. It's very hard to find specific dimensions of cards on manufacturer's websites. The power supply should be ok, 550 watts is probably just enough for that core i5. Hope this helps. Oh and if you're just doing office work on this pc, then it's going to run Office 2007 like a charm :D
