media center pc

I'm looking to get rid of all the crap cluttering up my entertainment center. I would like to build a media center pc. Something that I could watch dvd movies on, watch regular TV, Stream movies, and listen to music. This is strictly for those purposes. My problem is that I'm not sure wat exactly I need to make all of this happen. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money and I would like it to b small. If u guys could help me out with a few suggestions I would appreciate it very much. Thank u.

I just noticed that this thread has gone unanswered.

I don't know much about HTPC systems, but looking through the components listed here, I don't think any of them are a particularly good choice. imo

You might be better off going with an Atom CPU or one of the new Intel CULV ones, as these will offer much better performance than the one you suggested. If you want to stay as cheap as possible, try getting an AMD CPU from eBay.

The capture card seems to have a pretty bad reputation as well, so you might want to consider getting a slightly better one.
