I just build myself a new PC and am having trouble getting it to boot up (into the bios).
I have installed a gygabyte motherboard with an AMD Athlon II CPU. When I turn the power on to the computer, all the fans start up, there are no beeps at all, and then it just sits there. No video signal, nothing. Only way to turn it off is to hit the switch directly on the power supply.
Please give me some ideas.... I'm thinking that maybe the CPU is dead?
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-MA74GM-S2 AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 740G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 620 Propus 2.6GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Processor Model ADX620WFGIBOX
Memory: Patriot Extreme Performance Gaming Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model PGS24G6400ELK
Thanks for your help!!!!
