I just got a HP pavilion P6230Y. It came with an integrated ati radeon HD 4200 chip which isn't good for the games im aiming for so im looking to get an actual card. I've replaced video cards before in my old computer but this time around I notice a lot of cards say I need a power supply with certain watts. I only have a 300w psu so thats going to have to be upgraded too.

So what video card and power supply should I get with a budget of $200?

My goal is to be able to play games like Call of duty mwf2, or farcry 2 on medium to high settings. if needed i might be able to stretch the budget a few more bucks but no more than 240.

heres a link to my pc's specs (http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/hp-pavilion-p6230y/4507-3118_7-33777302.html?tag=mncolBtm;rnav)

Also I have never replaced a power supply before so if anyone has a link or video on how to I would appreciate it.

If you need any more info just ask.

I would go with this video card.

And maybe this power supply

You need to verify that this power supply will fit your case. I couldn't tell by the HP system specs as to what type of psu is being used.

Thanks for the reply.

How would I go about checking if the psu fits inside my computer?

I took another look at it and the sticker says its a Bestec Model:ATX0300D5WC - rev:B if that helps.

That's a standard ATX power supply. The one I suggested earlier would work just fine, but I also found this one. It's not quite as expensive, and it's modular.
