Does anyone have any legit free anti virus suggestions that you would be willing to share with me? I am just trying to figure out if paying for a new subscription is worth it or can I get the same protection with a free anti virus program? Thank you for your time and help as always.

AVG and Avast both do very good free versions of their software, but I personally use Microsoft Security Essentials, which is the latest AV software from Microsoft.

thank you for your input. I will look into it and tell you what I think. You are always a helpful one Mr. Wise. I remember when I first found myself on this website and began to take on the task of building my 1st computer. I am in the works of building another one probably around the first of the year.

I have used AVG and Avast, and have found Avast to be more user friendly. MS Security Essientials might be my #1 choice though.

btw, welcome back treavorbell.
