Budget Build

So, I'm gonna have around $600 - $750 coming up pretty soon so I thought I should get a new computer. I haven't built a computer for some time so I am kinda out of the loop with this sort of thing.
But I came up with 2 different builds, 1 Amd and 1 Intel.

I like the second build better. Looks good. You didn't include an optical drive, but they are only about $30. Also don't forget you'll need an operating system too.

Well after posting this I've made some modifications on that build. There were a couple things that I wanted to change on it.
So I switched the CPU from the Athlon to the Phenom (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103680).
And then i switched to an ATI video card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150351) since the motherboard supports Crossfire and not SLI.
I also switched up the case just a little. This one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147118) has a few more fans to help with cooling.
Oh yeah and I had an Optical drive I just didn't bother listing it. Its a basic one. I don't need anything special right now.
Now with everything the price is just under $700. So still within my range.

P.S. I noticed in the budget build only 2gb of ram was used. Do you think 4gb would be necessary or would 2gb do the trick for some mild gaming and things like that?

Very nice choices.
The 2gb ram recommendation is only to keep the price down and allow room to upgrade later.
