i5 mobo

had my mind made up on the q9550 setup, but now the i5's are out and i think i changed my mind...

Have a question about the mobo though...

Im lookin at 3...

Im partial to Gigabyte....But im not real sure if the last 2 are worth the extra money...I like the fact that the UD4P has 3 extra PCI x slots and 2 PCIx 2.0 slots. It also has 2 1394 ports.

The UD2 is the cheapest and the most recommended in builds i have been looking at.

And the UD4 looks like it is in the middle of the 2 with only 8 USB ports.

The UD2 would probably be a better choice as I have decided not to do Crossfire/SLI.

Any Advice?

Sorry Kris, but I just don't have any experience with those motherboards. I'm not comfortable offering advice on something that I'm not very sure of. Maybe someone else will come along with some help.

They are pretty new. Im thinking about running a Radeon Video card plus eventually a TV tuner. So im probalby gonna need 2 PCIx 2.0 x16 slots right?

I did some more research and think im going with the UD4 in the middle. It has one extra PCIx x4 slot that might be used eventually...

Dont see much about the i5's on here...I figured you guys would be all over that.

I don't think that a TV tuner would use a PCI-e slot, and even if it did it would be a PCI-e x1, but it never hurts to have the extra one in case you want to run CrossFire or SLI. The UD2 is a very solid budget i5 board, but you may find that you need the extra features of the UD4 in the future.
