About 4 years ago I stumbled onto this site, searching for how to build my "super" computer.......come to find out a guy named Rob actually created a website on how to do this!

I am an IT professional, so I had knowledge of how to use computers, however although I had some idea about the parts, I didn't have knowledge of how to build one. After reading this site, I had full understanding.

I didn't just want to slap together cheap parts just to say I built a computer, I found this site because I was sick of my slow Dell. After tons of research, l finally built my pc this week. It took me 4 years to attempt it, but I'm finally a graduate! This computer is flat out blazin! I didnt get top of the line stuff, nor am I overclocking, but there is no need to in my opinion. I'm still holding off for a blu-ray burner and a larger SSD, I will probably add those on black friday or next year.

I bought all my parts from newegg, except for the case and cpu, it was actually cheaper at the local Microcenter. If you are debating on getting an SSD or not, GET ONE! I'm just using mine for the OS, thats it. Everything else stores on the other drive. I got the SSD for $109 after rebate, and it was well worth it. After all the tweaks from the OCZ forums, I still have 22 GB free after the Win7 OS install, which took about 5 minutes! I dont game, but I got a pretty good video card for watching HDTV with PVR capabilities. I will upgrade my monitor one of these days.

Did you do a RAID 0 for the two HDD's?

Actually, windows only takes up about 16gb of drive space. He probably put windows on the SSD and everything else goes ont he HDD. Just my guess.

This is correct. I'm waiting for the SSD prices to drop down a bit. Its fine for now, the Windows 7 OS blazes with SSD, all other software/media is on the 2nd drive. No RAID setup, I might do that as well in the future.
