Hey folks,

Havn't posted anything in awhile, but I've finally got something.

My video card that I installed in my new built rig is starting to crap out. (Built 12/07) I noticed it on single player games, and then I went to play WOW after 3 months and it is EXTREMELY choppy. It did it's duty, but it's time to upgrade with the new "in". (If there is any)

Currently I have:

EVGA 512-P3-N802-A1 GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3

And my mother board is:

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3P Rev 2.0 LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Ultra Durable 2

I am looking for an upgrade, not the best, but something that is great for the buck. If something is out there that it would be rediculous NOT to get, and it cost my left leg.....I'd get it. :D

Thanks so much.

For an Nvidia card, the best bang for the buck are the GTS250 and GTX260 core 216. Both are excellent.

For ATI cards, the Radeon 4870 1gb is terrific.

Glad to help. One more thing. The GTX260 is 10.5 inches long, but the GTS250 is 9 inches. Also the 4870 is 9 inches. Make sure you have room in the case.

Same case. I think I'm good right?

Should be fine in a 900. You may need to move the hard drive into a different slot, but that's easy.
