No video signal, possible bad memory?

I fire up my new rig and get a no video signal.

I checked my memory its : Kingston KVR1333D3K3/6GR

I noticed that on my MOTHERBOARD GUIDE (the Asus P6t motherboard)

The memory type is not under the qualified vendor list . Could this be the problem? Or no, the memory type isn't that big of a deal?

Thought I'd add this as well, my keyboard doesn't flash any lights when I turn on the computer.

to anyone who is reading i found out that the ram was in the wrong slots, they needed to be in orange and not the black, so my monitor is running, but my computer is only recognizing 4 gigs of ram :/

damnit. now i'm really lost.
