Hello everyone! Glad to be here as this is my first post.

I want to build a desktop that's more on the budget side of the sectrum. Additionally, I don't mind spending a few extra dollars if it means a noticable difference in performance/reliability/longevity.

Most of this computer's life will be spent doing the normal college tasks of emailing, facebooking, access, excel etc.
Also, I'd like to play some of the more recent game titles but nothing too extreme.

Now that my outline is set, I'm a little confused on which chipset/mobo to select. I will be running a Core2Duo e5200. I don't need RAID or anything high end but I would like to be able to explore some overclocking and have a somewhat decent fsb and chipset to keep the comp relevant for awhile.

Suggestions? Looking to spend less than $100.

I originally thought that $100 was for your entire budget. That's why I thought it was a typo. Now I realize that $100 was for the motherboard. Right?

If so, here's a nice mobo in that range.

Exactly, $100 for mobo. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for the suggestions - any recommendations with onboard video?

For onboard video, you'll probably have to go with a G43 or G45 chipset.
