Installing CD Drive

Once I put CD Drive in do i hook a SATA cable to it then to the motherboard?

If it is a SATA CD drive, then yes. Install the drive, connect the larger SATA power connector, then connect the SATA cable from the drive to one of the ports on the motherboard.
