Crap right as i was about to buy, i noticed how much energy the 260 uses.
Is there anyway to reduce the amount of energy needed, but still keep the same quality of graphics?

iirc, the GTX260 suggests a 500 watt power supply. I know of several people running a 260 with a lesser psu. I don't see any reason why your 600 watt won't be more than sufficient.

I've been running a GTX 260 using the EarthWatts 500-watt PSU that comes in the Antec Sonata 3 for months without a problem.
